Warranty Duration
The warranty period for each product varies. Please check the individual product description page on our website for the specific warranty duration applicable to your item. Your warranty period begins on the date of delivery.
What Our Warranty Covers
Our warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the specified warranty period. If a product is found to have a manufacturing defect, we will, at our discretion, either:
- Repair the product at no cost.
- Replace the product with a new or refurbished one of the same or equivalent model.
- Issue a full or partial refund.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has a defect and is still under warranty, please follow these steps:
- Notify Us: Contact us in writing at info@britmarthub.co.uk as soon as you notice the defect. Please include your original order number and a detailed description of the issue.
- Return the Product: We will provide you with instructions on how to return the product to our head office for inspection. Initially, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item.
- Inspection and Resolution: Once we receive the item, our team will test it to determine the cause of the failure. If the defect is confirmed to be a manufacturing fault, we will proceed with a repair, replacement, or refund and may reimburse your reasonable return shipping costs.
What Our Warranty Does NOT Cover
Our warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:
- Fair Wear and Tear: Normal aging and use of the product.
- Improper Installation: Any installation not performed by a qualified electrician or competent person, in accordance with local building and safety regulations. This is a critical requirement.
- Misuse or Negligence: Damage caused by accidents, willful damage, incorrect use, or failure to follow product instructions.
- External Factors: Damage from incorrect voltage supply, power surges, or other external causes.
- Unauthorized Alterations or Repairs: Any modifications or repairs carried out without our prior written approval.
- Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, dents, or other aesthetic issues that do not affect the product’s functionality.
Important Note: If a product is returned and our testing determines the failure was due to incorrect installation or misuse (such as applying incorrect supply voltages to LED products), the warranty will be considered invalid. In this case, you will be responsible for all costs, including the return shipping and any costs associated with the inspection.
